Are you panicking because the school holidays are fast approaching and you don't know what to do? You can either run away and hope for the best, or plan ahead. If the weather turns gloomy or cold, it's always a good idea to have a backup plan. You can also change your outlook and turn mundane chores into an adventure.

These are some things that you can do during your children’s vacation program.

Beach Treasure Hunt

You can always bring a picnic lunch to the beach, no matter the weather. Sunny weather is great for kids. They can play on the sand, make sandcastles and create sand art with the shells and sticks that they find. Even if it's rainy or cold, you don't have to stay home and bring extra clothing and wet gear.

Children love to play in the rain, and if you provide containers for them to collect treasures, they can take home to make arts and crafts. If they are well-bundled, it is not necessary to worry about them getting sick.

Visit a Museum

Many museums are located in Sydney, many of which you may have never heard of. Many of these museums offer fun activities for kids and special school holidays. Check out their websites to find out more.

Swimming Races

Take a group of friends and bring the kids to an indoor swimming pool for a day full of racing and splashing. You can join the fun or just relax at the pool while they burn off all their energy.
